Your privacy is important to us at Freight App, Inc. This page (this “Privacy Policy”) lays out our policies and procedures surrounding the collection and handling of any information that identifies an individual or that could be used to contact or locate an individual (“Personally Identifiable Information” or “PII”). To effectively operate, maintain, and provide content, products, and services (collectively, the “Services”) made available at www.fr8.app (our “Website”), we collect certain Personally Identifiable Information.

This Privacy Policy applies only to any users of our Website. It does not apply to any third party site or service linked to our Website or recommended or referred by our Website. A “carrier,” as used in this Privacy Policy, means a motor carrier as defined by 49 USC § 13102(14) with authority issued by the federal and applicable state governments to haul freight for hire. The section headings contained in this Privacy Policy are for reference purposes only and shall not affect the meaning or interpretation of the Privacy Policy. In this Privacy Policy, the words “including” and “include” mean “including, but not limited to.”

By accessing and using our Website, you agree that this Privacy Policy governs our collection, use, and disclosure of any Personally Identifiable Information submitted to us, or obtained in the connection of through the services provided, at the Website.   • Transaction Information – Use of the Website requires collection of shipment details, payment amounts, travel distance, financial account information, and other information required to facilitate the transaction;
  • Location Information – Use of the Website requires collection of commercial drivers’ precise location data. We may also derive your approximate location from your IP address or phone number. We may also receive information about your location from third parties, such as your carrier;
  • Messaging Data – Use of the Website facilitates communications between users, including messages through the Website, telephone calls, or SMS messages. In connection with facilitating this service, we may receive data, including the date and time of the message, call, or SMS message, the parties’ phone numbers, and the content of the Website messages.

We also collect certain information through automated means from all users visiting the Website. For example, we use “cookies” and other Web technologies to collect certain information from all users, including visitors who do not purchase anything through our Website. A cookie is a string of data our system sends to your computer and then uses to identify your computer when you return to our Website.   • Other users of the Website. For example, contact information including name, personnel and vehicle, vehicle license, vehicle make and model, precise or approximate location, and certain other contact information at the request of the shippers and carriers;
  • Third-party vendors and/or independent contractors that perform tasks on our behalf and under our instruction. These third-party vendors and independent contractors may use your personal information only in connection with the services they perform at our request and they are bound to protect your personal information in a manner consistent with our Privacy Policy; and
  • Other people, as directed by you, in connection with the Website Services.

We may share information about you when we believe disclosure is appropriate to comply with the law, a court order, or a subpoena or to prevent or investigate a possible crime, such as fraud or identity theft; to protect the security of our Website; to enforce or apply our Website Terms of Use; or to protect our own rights or property or the rights, property or safety of our users or others. As noted above, we compile Website usage statistics from data collected through cookies and other automated means. We may publish those statistics or share them with third parties, but any such disclosure will not include PII.
